MGMT - Time to Pretend

Ive only heard about them a day or two ago but I fell in love with this the minute I heard it. This isnt the real video, its much better as its got nature and everything. In addition you arent confronted by the fact that the song is performed by what looks like a bunch of talented 11 year olds and wont feel like youve wasted your life as a result.

Youtube beginners guide to french house

An obvious place to start but theyve been the gold standard for so long its not even funny. Recent bout of touring has cemented their place in 20-30 something yanks' minds. everywhere. Will do anything for money. This track is over a decade old but if your arse doesnt start moving to it of its own accord you may have already been pronounced clinically dead. Daft Punk...oh yes

Together (DJ falcon and Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter) have released bugger all but this towering hypnotic inferno of a tune merits inclusion on all its own

Stardust (Braxe, Bangalater with Benjamin Cohen on vocals)'s Music Sounds Better with You is one of the most influential dance releases of all time...even if it "sounds like a creaky bicycle wheel"

Alan Braxe and Fred Falke's stuff often has a distinctive 80s feel and the most gorgeous bass lines. Their remixes are as good as their original stuff.

It would be an injustice to leave them off....*hangs head, exits stage*

DJ Mehdi..indeed he is

Etienne De Crecy from the one of the (if not the) greatest quasi-complations of all time...Super Discount. You can almost picture the quintessential frenchman raising a disparaging eyebrow in protest at your dancing.

Cheesy? Very much so but Alec Gopher and the french in general know good cheese when they smell it.

Should be booed regularly for screwing bangalter over but before he turned into an absolute cringe merchant in the last few years....love generation....ugh...he was up there with anybody. Bob Sinclair.
